Doggie Day Out by MNAWF

Ahh.. My human has just gotten word that there will be an exciting doggy day soon!!

Here are the details…

Event: Doggie Day Out @ D’Park

Venue: Central Park, Bandar Utama

Date: 20th December 2009

Time: 8:30am – 12:30pm

More details can be found at this Facebook group –> Malaysian National Animal Welfare Foundation

I don’t think I’ll be able to come as the humans have some important event then… You doggies have fun, ok??

Snoopy & Rusty @ Malaysia Responsible Dog Ownership Day 2008

Both of us finally made it to one of the big doggie events of the year.. the MRDO 2008. 🙂

Well, we both didn’t participate in the activities; in fact, the hooman didn’t register us and so, we didn’t get a goodie bag this year. It was more of a socializing event for Rusty as he’s the new dog in our family. He needed to know the ways of DOG.

We even managed to meet Pacco – the famous doggie blogger who is really good at agility and high jumps!! I thought I didn’t capture a photo of Pacco but she’s there in the background. The hooman didn’t take a photo as Rusty wanted to fight. Bad Rusty… 😡

The hooman was  very excited. Even bought something as a filter for the new camera so that the colours will in the pictures will look good. Hmmm…

I quickly went on the ground and was sniffing my way around. We saw a lot of cool dogs around…

I like the mohawk style. So did the other MS…

Gosh! What did your hooman do to you??!!

Rusty got sniffed by a few dogs. He was so cool about it. I’d guess, he didn’t mind being sniffed. In fact, I think he was letting his scent off by standing so still. I’d guess he still wants to be top dog…

JRT: *Sniff* You are a boy… and you’re 10 months old!

Rusty: Yes, I’m a bigger dog than you…

I, on the other hand; found some very friendly hoomans to hang out with. So much so that when I requested for a belly rub, they obliged!!

That feels sooooo goood!!!

Cowsin Lucky also came by. He didn’t have a leash or harness and so, couldn’t walk freely like Rusty and I.

He got friendly with a few other Poms (Pomeranian) and his hooman saw that compared with the other Poms, Lucky’s fur wasn’t so neat. I heard he got a haircut when he got home. 😆

Dogs Swimming!! I don’t like the water though…

This time around, I didn’t see that many dogs go into the water. But I saw a Jack Russell kept asking his owner to throw his rubber ducky in the water for him to fetch. JRTs go to ground.. not water!

Speaking of JRTs; I seem to be meeting more and more JRTs at these events now. We seem to be getting more popular. Now, people can identify us instead of asking my hooman about what dog am I.

JRTs gathering..

However, whenever we JRTs meet; we tend to be quite vocal and as usual, my brother Rusty itches for a fight!!! As what 1 owner said, we need to show who is boss to the JRT, or else they can easily walk all over us. Hmmm…

After the event, we got home and had our bath. That’s a bad 4-letter word for me…

I don’t like baths…

Rusty: Am I done yet??

Rusty decided to sunbathe while I had to undergo my “water torture”…

We were both quite tired after everything and decided to take a nap…

We sure enjoyed ourselves. I do hope to join in another activity next year. Perhaps this time around, my hooman can take more photos and buy us stuff!!!

Mass for Animal Lovers

Hello all!!

Sorry that this announcement is a little late but better late than never!!

It seems that there will be a Mass for Animal Lovers @ SFX (St. Francis Xavier) church, PJ tomorrow!

Details are as follows:

Venue: SFX Church Basement (carpark)

Date & Time: Friday, 3rd October @ 7:30pm

Do bring your pets for a blessing in conjunction of the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, Patron Saint of Animals and Environment.

Do remember to behave yourselves (I think there could be cats or fishes there…) and have your hooman pick up after you should you do a poo-poo. (^_^)

I think I’ll be there with my brother and hoomans; though, I think my hooman mouthpiece will not be there due to some work thing.

2008 Malaysian K9 Day – 20th January 2008

Greetings everyone!

Before I forget, let me wish everydoggy and hooman a HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!! Hope that you all had some yummy goodies as well as those nice ang pows too. 🙂

I’m waaaayyy behind on my blogs as my hooman was busy with work for the past 1 and 1/2 months – which sucks… So, I’m going to just report on the K9 Day I attended last month. It was sure fun even though it was a very hot day.

My hooman was lucky. She had a nice cap and sunshades to block the sun. Sure, she has been talking about getting goggles for me for years, but she never got one for me yet. But then….. I don’t like stuff on my head. 😆

So, I got to wear my favourite t-shirt. Yep, everybody was pointing to as “The Jack Russell with the Army T-shirt”. Hehehe.. I portrayed  a very tough front. 🙂

I had a lot of fun walking around the place, sniffing at dogs, getting sniffed at. I even got to see Pacco without her hooman. Pacco was barking a lot as her hooman walked away without her. It was sad that I couldn’t get to see Pacco with her jump as I had to get back home.

We walked close to the lake and saw some of the doggies cooling off in the lake. I would never like to get my paws wet but I did take a sniff at the edge to know what kind of water is there… Nope, you won’t see me jumping into the lake any time soon. 😉

This was one really brave pup who went in there and got that plastic bottle out of the water!!

And guess what, it’s a small dog fishing out a HUGE bottle! Wow!! Now, that’s the power of small dogs!!

I decided to check out some other JRT who looked like my relative. Nah… It was a pup. 😉 Like I said, I would not get anywhere near the water.

I had some admirers too. This Hush Puppy look-a-like named Lap Cheong decided to give me a kiss…

There were some doggy games as well but my hooman didn’t want to enter me. 😦 Anyway, this was the “Waggiest Tail” event. If I had entered, I would have won! Hmmph!!

But, I was already very pooped when I did my round around the park. So, I had to park myself behind this random hooman. My  hooman tried to get me to move but I couldn’t care less. I was tooo tired.

At the end of a perfect day, I had a great nap. It was sure fun, let’s do it again next year!

Incredible Dog Challenge!

Hi all…

This is a short reminder for you doggies who wake up early to howl at birds. If your hooman can’t sleep and have Astro, they can switch over to channel 812 (ESPN) which has the Incredible Dog Challenge…

Wow.. It’s really incredible.

You can see doggies run, race, play with frisbees and chase some stupid imaginary prey so that we can all go into the little hole in the hay stack. Yes, you’ll see my fellow JRTs (Jacks) and PRTs (Parsons) jump over hurdles to get to the small hole at the other end. I don’t think I’m up for that. Heheehe…

Anyway, it’s showing really early like 7:00am. 😦

Sometimes, it might repeat and so, better mark your Astro books.

Meanwhile, here’s the link to the Incredible Dog Challenge –> http://events.purina.com/dogs/events/index.aspx

Even without the event, we’re all pretty incredible, right?

Blessing for Pets and Animal Lovers @ SFX

My hoomans took me to church on Thursday to attend the special mass to commemorate St. Francis of Assisi. It was really fun!!!

I met with a lot of doggies and their hoomans. I also spotted some fishies and even cats. I didn’t bark at the cats as they were already so scared at seeing so many dogs there.

My Old Man and I were sitting outside. He carried me so that I could get a good view of all the doggies around.

They had us sit outside first. So, here I am with my Old Man and Big Mama.

I met up with Sushi and her owner. Sushi is a shy gal like me and she kept sitting under the chair with her Golden Retriever friend Jamie. I didn’t get to take a photo with them, but hope to see them tomorrow at the MRDO.

It sure was hot outside. My hoomas made me sit on the plastic chair while waiting for the mass to start.

However, due to some problems with the sound system, they asked us all to move inside the church. It was such a site to see so many doggies and their hoomans walk into church. We all were on our very best behaviour. However some doggies were very “talkative”….

At the end of the mass, we were all blessed by the priest.

While we were all blessed by the priest, while his dog watched from the altar. My hooman couldn’t take any photos as she was carrying me.

After church, the hoomans got fed and we went home. I also got a cake from Pet Safari but I didn’t eat it since I don’t quite like cake. I prefer cheeessseeee…

It was a great event. Good to meet all sorts of animal lovers and to remind the hoomans that they are stewards of the world which God made.

Mass for Animals and Animal Lovers @ SFX, 4th October

Hi all!! I’m still recovering from my operation. Prognosis is pretty ok though the hoomans were quite scared at first.

My hooman found out about this latest event from church on Sunday. There’s a mass/blessing for animals and animal lovers at church to commemorate the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi.

Here are the details…

Date: 4th October 2007

Time: 7:30pm

Venue: Basement Carpark, St. Francis Xavier Church, PJ.

Hope to see you folks there!
